First, they bought brownie mix, or homemade? When this is done at home, you will not receive a definitive answer here, because we do not know what are the ingredients in the mixture. Some cut their use in the dry mixture, so that is all you need to add eggs and water. Other initiatives include the reduction or any other kind of fat, then add the melted butter or vegetable oil, eggs and water.

Bread bought mixes 8x8 size to respect the setting you or come a 9x13 pan "family size", you sure you use the right amount of oil, eggs, etc., the amount of dry mix did.

Since you have 5 cups of mix, I think it is a dry mixture House. Sources Click on the link and brownies, these basic instructions:

In a bowl, 2 1 / 2 cups brownie mix mix, 2 eggs, 1 teaspoon vanilla extract and 1 / 3 cup chopped walnuts (optional). Spread into an 8 x 8 square pan (or square of 9 x 9 cm pot, if you like your brownies anticoagulant). Be baking at 350 degrees for 20 minutes let it set. Not much.

Again, this recIPE assumes that you are using a mixture of homemade brownie on this site that the reduction includes.

Happy Cooking!

And please follow the instructions and others here, sometimes this question. Five cups of dry mix is too much for a 8x8 pan of brownies!

Added 5/5/08: I have a box of brownies (13x9 pan) last night. I measured the dry mixture, and went to a little over 4 cups. Thus, the volume of the mixture (5 cups) half of brownies in a 8x8 bread is now and the rest for next time.

It's a little weird / strange how many of these questions can be found here have increased recently. What people do with their cake boxes?

Tell me what brand it is, if you know. I've been looking online and there are many variations, depending on the brand. The simplest recipe I found: 1 / 3 cup oil, 2 eggs and 1 / 3 cup of water. Mix with a large spoon or spatula, only 50-60 hits (not mix). Bake at 350 degrees 28-30 minutes.

Add 1 / 3 cup water, 1 / 3 cup oil, 1 egg and mix until well combined. Bread with oil mixture and spread evenly.
Set oven to 325 degrees Bake 1 / 2 hour or in the middle is til. (may take a little over a 8x8 pan though)
