Vintage electric fan values - original cords or new cords? - vintage table fan

In the ownership of my grandmother, there is a Robbins & Myers Inc. electric table fan, circa 1935th The original wire is intact, but it seems a little scared at the end of the leaf, so that I can see have not tried to see if it works. Does anybody know if this fan is worth more when I go to this cable, to its replacement by a new do?
